La Journée mondiale de l'environnement a été lancée par

l'Assemblée générale des Nations Unies en 1972 afin de marquer

l'ouverture de la Conférence de Stockholm sur l'Environnement humain.

La Journée mondiale de l'environnement, célébrée chaque année le 5 juin,

nous concerne tous directement. C'est, pour les Nations Unies,

l'un des principaux moyens pour susciter une plus grande prise de conscience

envers l'environnement et promouvoir l'intérêt et l'action politique.

A l’occasion de cette journée mondiale de l’environnement,

le film de Yann Arthus-Bertrand « HOME » tourné dans 55 pays

est diffusé dans 126 pays, à la télévision, sur DVD et sur YouTube…

…. Ce n'est pas juste un film. C'est une merveille pour que les gens

prennent conscience de la réalité des choses.

World Environment Day (WED) was established by the UN General Assembly in 1972

to mark the opening of the Stockholm Conference on the Human Environment.

Commemorated yearly on 5 June, WED is one of the principal vehicles

through which the United Nations stimulates worldwide

awareness of the environment and enhances political attention and action.

On the occasion of this world day of the environment,

the movie of Yann Arthus-Bertrand " HOME " turned in 55 countries

is diffused in 126 countries, on the television, on DVD and on YouTube....

...We may not have the power to change things,

but we have the power to say that we want them to change...
